Hard to say weight difference mate but the alloy pro is built for racing and the hub is a higher quality miche version.. The alloy pro don't have a machined surface its the same colour but a very nice rim and could accommodate a brake..

Yo Varno, I'm about to order a Miche/Pegasus rear wheel from your site. Can you include a 1/8" 18t sprocket with it :)
I'm going to have to order the front when I get more dough. Just out of interest is the dp18 silver front wheel on the other thread still knocking about?
Regards,
C.Hi Varno, I've ordered at last! I've PM'd you too.
Cheers,

Hi Jim
Finally got round to fitting and riding my 30mm Race Clinchers.
They go like stink and feel pretty stiff. The Sapim spokes make a huge difference.
Even though unmachined, they stop very well with standard shimano pads.
Cheers

Just purchased 2 wheelsets off the website. Used the forum code but only got £10 discount. Should it be £10 per set or per purchase?

Im thinking about doing a Christmas (end of year deal) on our top end wheels (carbon porn)....
On selected wheels im thinking about taking three payments over the next three months to allow everyone to buy the best wheels ready for the new year..Any thoughts?

Hey,
Sure you ave answered this elsewhere but what chainline do the Quando hubs give? Have seen some reviews that say they give a 38mm and need to be re-dished?

Hi varno.
I'm just looking for a wheelset for my new runabout build - and look what thread should drop into my lap. I thought about just emailing you, but if I ask my question here, it bumps your thread. :-)
My main worry would be my weight. At 105kg, I'm quite a bit heavier than your average rider and I tend to bend and break softer/lighter components. Durability of the wheel would be my main concern rather than trying to be a weight weeny, so a wheel build that won't bend and a hub that will put down plenty of miles are what I'm after. What combo is best going to suit needs like that?
Thanks. And good luck with this venture!

I rode Varno's Novatec to DP18 wheelset when I was as heavy as 115kg and they never strayed out of true. Probably the toughest wheels I've ever ridden, I'd definitely recommend them if you want some strong everyday wheels. Although if I were buying again I'd get Miche on Mach 1 rims...

Have you got a photo of the silver mach 1s built into Miche hubs, all silver? Going to suggest them to a friend but could do with photos.

I use the bike for transport, that's it. So it's purely road riding, sometimes bumpy roads though.

We have supplied lots of these wheels for commuting in all scenes including an around Europe ride with great feedback and performance. Im sure they will be tough enough.

Im adding some testamonials to the site so our happy customers. If you fancy being one of them please email v-sprint@live.co.uk.
Thanks all
Jim.
Thanks Varno - I did not realise the alloy-pros had a machined brake surface. What is the weight diffference between them and the DP18s?
