• Glad t hear that you are on here to talk about it.

Its easy cash for them as other forms of transport are getting harder to nick

  • FFS, this is terrible. It's not that much of a back street really. Well done for getting away though, at least you're ok.
Just round the corner from where that kid was stabbed 34 times the other week :-s
    I hate London sometimes.

Might have to rethink holding beginners polo there in the summer.

Group buy on water pistols and bleach?

  • Hmmm. Bad news. Glad you're ok. That road does go through estate central though, so obviously better to avoid. I still take backroutes after dark but after hearing too many tales of attempted muggings around estates for regular routes I definitely avoid them. This one is now added to that list...

  • Sorry to hear that mr lunch. This seems quite unusual in that it was one guy, not a gang, no? You don't think he was just a nutter?

As a criminal it's got to be a bit risky tackling people one on one, you could get a surprise...

  • I was chatting to my window cleaner the other day, a dead nice fella, born bread and butter in Brockley. I happened to use the estate agent name East Dulwich and he spluttered into his tea saying 'Jesus! Not so long ago you had Dulwich, and you had Peckham. East Bloody Dulwich?! I ask yer' etc etc.

  • Knuckle duster footpegs FTW !

You just need to find a way to adapt them to your crank arms...

Most of East Dulwich = Peckham FACT

Skulls, please sling me his number! Our windows desperately need a spruce...

  • A word of warning - a Southwark Cyclists member was attacked last night on Camberwell Grove:

"I cycled home last night via camberwell grove. It was raining hard and i stopped at the traffic light controlled junction with mcneil grove. It was about 9.40 pm. Two youths attempted to attack me hitting my head and i trying to push me off my bike. I swore at them and they backed off, once the lights went green i set off up camberwell grove using the narrow cycle path over the bridge. The two youths then had another go at me. I once again swore at them and they backed off. No harm was done to me but other cyclists should take care using this route."

    :(

  • Thanks for the headsup!

  • Yeah, this! Camberwell Grove doesn't really feature for me, but when I was investigating/exploring my new hood the other day was amazed how quickly Camberwell Grove goes from neat to street - which coincidentally is one of the things I love about London. Bikejacking, less so, obvs.
