anyone have any idea how much this is worth and whether its any good?
Don't trust old carbon off unknown origins, just bid up to the value of the components - that would be my advice...

anyone tell me how much this is worth (whether its a bargain or not...)
I'd guess it'll go for between £250 - £350. It's in quite a popular size.

This looks nice. Sounds and looks like it's in good condition and it's not far from me. Would you say it's worth the £200 or just a good deal at £140?
What's SMS? Is that the tubing? What sort of size would medium be?

SMS is a Reynolds tubing, seemed to be around in the 80's. Not quite sure of it's quality compared to 501 / 531 etc but it felt light enough rode well on my old Keith Coppell.

SMS appears to be quite heavy according to the info here:

Apparently it was a replacement for 531 plain gauge tubing, for touring/city bikes.

Ask about the cranks and mechs: can't see clearly in the pics and curious they aren't mentioned.

Seller has a few nice bits.
I've bought a front mech off him. BIN prices are toppy and he's full of shit.
These Monoplanershttp://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?ff3=2&pub=5574889051&toolid=10001&campid=5336525415&item=370646300240&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER] aren't; they're ordinary Athena single pivot brakes (with incorrectly assembled cable adjusters), whereas these are Monoplanershttp://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?ff3=2&pub=5574889051&toolid=10001&campid=5336525415&item=221117762778&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER]. Perhaps that's why he is auctioning one with a low start price and the other has a ridiculous BIN?
£115 for a chainset?http://rover.ebay.com/roverimp/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?ff3=2&pub=5574889051&toolid=10001&campid=5336525415&item=221117828856&mpt=[CACHEBUSTER] Well it is Croce D'Aune! Er... no, it's Chorus and doesn't even have any fucking dustcaps.

I've been looking at that Vitus 992. These frames look just great.
I'm looking for one and although this one is just a bit too small (especially too short TT), it may fit. But the size, combined with the price, made me decide not to make an offer.
