For those who just got into track over the summer, and are only now getting to the point where they feel they're capable enough to come to race training - is there any race training on during the autumn/winter months?
-
• #1154
only through the end of this month, as discussed i think on previous page.

Cool, I just wondered if there were any on at a different time during the week, over the darker months.
Cheers!

Someone may say to me to UTFS, but I'll ask anyway:
I thought the new surface was suitable for wet riding. Why training stops during winter (I mean in day light of course)? -
• #1157
Mainly because of this: http://www.savethevelodrome.com/solp/
The place is likely to be a building site this winter.

Providing they don't interfere with the cyclo-cross.

However, weather is too inclement to run regular scheduled public sessions during the harsher winter months. I think once we get into December and January and it's snowing and blowing a -4 degree gale you will understand. -

I can't actually walk once I get off the bike. It's not good for me at all. But maybe.
Any idea what discipline it is tonight? Sprints/Devil/the other one and how much it costs nowadays? -
• #1167
Still £6, no idea what tonight's theme is.
-
• #1168
£6 and it depends on who's leading the session.
Anyone, 5 or 6pm?

Last one tonight, right? Looks like the rain might hold off, who's going?
Decided that warmth and toad-in-the-hole with an ale was a better option. Today, I failed at cycling. -

Fart, I thought it would rain and did not take the track bike this morning, and will miss tonight...

^ Same. Looks like it's wait till next year. When I spoke to one of the coaches on Saturday he sounded confident that the lighting proposal was likely to go ahead.

So, first session is a week on Monday, right? Also seems that there will be two Wednesday night race training sessions, too, until the league starts on the 17th.

I think we chatted briefly. I was on the maroon Robin Mather. Will look for you next time.
