Finished building my first alu frame, really different feel to my previous bikes.
Very pleased with the fit as well (size is 60cm but c-t is 64!)
Only problem is I'm not too sure about mounting a single ring on an SRAM force chainset - feel suspicious of carbon!
Eventually may also get my hands on some more tune components to match the stem

I killed my super record a couple of weeks back as detailed above , I suspect you're thinking of sheriff stars though "exploding"

Why reverse the brake?

it's easier to list the hubs that ***haven't ***been reported to failing on road brakeless - if they are perfectly functional sell then rather than wasting the sprint rims and buy something modern and silver
royce. (maybe)

Buy Paul hubs which from a distance look the same but are built to take abuse.

Big thanks to Apollo for coming over late with tools to build this up with me and drinking much beers in the process! Also, big thanks to Butters for drinking much beers the following day and lending me hacksaw skillz.

Project Porteur Rack v1.0 is finished.
It has helped me realise where and what I need to change though so as a prototype it has served its purpose.

Porteur Rack v1.0 is ace.
You need some way of fitting a torch/light that can still be seen when your carrying 12 pizzas.

Its gonna have sections cut out and holes made for bungee cords, will help lighten it and aid in keeping things in place as you astutely pointed out!
cut a cup-holder hole into it!
Aw... I like that idea!
Thanks for all the positive feedback guys.
This was only the first attempt so I could see what worked and what don't, so I will go for a much lighter and hopefully almost as strong, but definitely stiffer, design for the next one.
just read stories of those hubs exploding when used on roads..
