I don't suppose you fancy a trade with a 56cm Vitus 979?
-

According to the flickr pics, you took them in January 2008?......Lovely frame btw!.....tempting!

That's not a compact: it's a lopro!

Nice! Just love wishbone seat stays like this. Just out of interest from the dimensions, how tall are you cos I assume anyone of average proportions will have to ride it like a lo-pro?

The pics have only just been taken ,i am a bit of an IT dinosaur, camera date not correct.
Thats a very nice mount :) Good luck for sale!
I am 170cm , short legs, long body and rode it as a normal roadbike no problems. -

IT dinosaur.....good chap!
Might be an idea to put up a pic of the frame with wheels to show the extent that the frame is or is not a lo-pro.
Someone on ebay is selling a DL Concept 90 frame in 653 albeit with chrome forks and rh chainstay but asking £300 so this is a bargain......just saying.

I'm rather keen on this but worried it might be slightly small for me. I gather you'd size this as if it had a level top tube but using ctt rather than ctc on the seat tube? Meaning, as a 5'9"/174cm slighty short limbed rider riding my current 55cm ctc top tube, 53/4cm ctc seat tube with what looks to be similarly tight geometry, I'd just be dropping a few cm on the head tube? That looks to make sense from the pictures. Any advice from the forum as to the fit would be great, it's a lovely frame but I don't want to spend a several months building it up to find it's a little off.

I usually ride a 51-52cm seat tube and 54-55cm top tube , here is a pic of the set up i used, i ued a quill stem adaptor with about 20mm of spacers underneath.

Does not look lo-pro to me.

Indeed, it looks drop-dead gorgeous.
Come on someone, don't you need a decent equatorial mount for your newtonian? -

Come on someone, don't you need a decent equatorial mount for your newtonian? Is there not a LFGSS equivalent for all things telescope?

Indeed there is, but deadly dull tbh. On the basis that nobody here will really want to buy it, I have advertised the mount elsewhere.

well, today I found a spare couple of hours and built this beauty up, with a rather provisional set of components:
http://www.lfgss.com/picture.php?albumid=1889&pictureid=14136I think I will fit a zero rise ahead stem, and a less clunky saddle. I took it for a very short spin and met Jurek, who agreed it was a fine looking beast.
Here we have a Dave Lloyd Concept 90 frame, from the early nineties, just been resprayed at Bob Jacksons for £130, in the flesh it looks stunning. The sizing is similar to a modern compact frame, ie , short seat tube , long top tube,
Top Tube (centre to centre )= 55cm
Seat Tube (centre to top ) = 51cm.
Forks and headset are included and if you require i will thro in the ergo cable stops.
£185 posted.
