When you say 'helping each other out' what other things were they doing other than opening doors and giving up a seat on the bus?
Was there anythign special about the locations? Can you remember where the ad was set? City /counrty /no idea?
I ask for two reasons 1) it may jog your memeory and 2) I watch a fair bit of TV and this doesn't ring any bells whatsoever so I was wonderign if I ppicked up on other elements.
Soz for no more help

was it the one where a bloke in the street picks up and puts in a bin a plastic bag that everyone else has been ignoring?
Found this one whilst looking (its a bit quiet here today ;) )

I seem to recall it had a 'pass it forward' kind of vibe and journey of storyline shots
one of them was an older west indian guy giving his seat up on the bus

Was it anything to do with this campaign?

not the LU one - it was a sequence of shots, but linear
[leave the shop and someone opens the door for someone, that person then points out that another person has dropped their wallet who then gives up his seat on a bus etc…]

It was people in everyday situations helping each other out [holding a door, giving up a seat on a bus etc]
