Holmfirth bike polo

It was a bit of a washout in holmfirth last weds.
Had a few good games in at the powerhouse in Manchester last week, really friendly bunch. Thanks guys.
All welcome to come and play on a court with a really nice view on weds. We've 4 so far and expecting more confirmations before. Play starts at 630. Hope to see some new faces.

Trying to get out earlier now the lights drawing in. There should be people hitting a ball around from 6. Anyone welcome. Bring a bike you don't mind getting scratched. Gloves and helmet are a good idea. We'll lend you a mallet. We might change venues to the basketball court at sands if its free cos they've got lights. I'll post here if we end up at sands.

At upperthong from six this Wednesday til it starts getting dark. We'll then see if sands is free and play til the lights go out. All welcome to come and join in/watch. Weve spare mallets so all you need is a bike.

better tyres, waterproof jacket, wetsuits!! Its a 12 1/2 mile ride each way for me to get to huddersfield without however far i manage to ride round in circles on the court. Personally I'm not sure if I'll make it very often or even be that bothered about organising things if it involves 25m in the saddle to play polo. If anyone wants to take over doing what I've been doing and move to huddersfield, then great. If anyone has a van to chuck all our bikes in every wednesday so we can get there in some sort of shape to play then great. turn up tomorrow and see what people think. Unless there's an easy way for me to get there I'll not be there

yeah, that huge puddle in front of goal made things interesting. I'll see if one of the car drivers can bring a yard broom one next week
