Already been done/asked.

And just for the record, why are you leaning so far forward that your stomach is touching your stem? :-/
-
• #4
To take the weight off the wheel, its near impossible to skid without doing so for me anyways, and everyone I've ever seen skid leans that far forward.

^Lampre never gets old - he so fat.
With their stomach on the stem? Never seen that personally, in every day riding anyway, not unless they're going for the longest skid award.

Yeah fair enough! I found it easier, I'll give it a go with less weight forward!

Sometimes when I really want to impress people I put down oil first.

More weight forward. Try to skid whilst teabagging your stem.

Weak legs so needs to unload the weight on the rear wheel as much as possible.

True, if they start developing some muscle on their legs they won't be able to wear their hipster jeans anymore.

I feel sorry for him, less so when he's got hippies face for some reason!
Its funny how I don't see a great deal of stuff on skidding, considering its one of the reasons I love riding a fixie! So anyone who is good at it, I thought I'd ask for some advice! I can skid on my fixie, but I'm left with bruises on my stomach as I have one of these stems: http://velosolo.co.uk/zenithgc.html
As I lean forward that either jabs my leg, stomach or junk. Does anyone have any advice on how to stop this happening? I'm sure I've seen fixie riders on youtube with similar stems skidding like badmen! I'm tempted to buy one of these instead: http://velosolo.co.uk/kalin.html
The only thing with that is my bars will be much closer to my seat, and therefore I'll be a lot more upright. Does anyone else have experience with those types of stems, or any advice at all? THANKS! :)
