Other great moment- the Argentinian track coach showing his excitement.
Shame you didn't get him on video ... a joy to watch.
Dancing his excitement (actually, no. Not dancing. Perhaps throwing some shapes) every time his guy went round the track, then coming into the presentation area after the medal ceremony to hand over a flag - he simply couldn't contain himself. It was great ...

I’m going to the athletics tonight – I am so ridiculously excited. I got up really early to plan a special red, white and blue outfit and have face paints with me (any excuse for face paints). This afternoon cannot go fast enough...

leftover from clown ride?

Yep :)
I’m going with my mum, I hope she likes face paints too... sadly I don’t have the colours for her national flag so she’ll have to pretend to be British for the day. -

We had the opportunity to boo Theresa May last night.. wonder who you'll get
-

We booed David Cameron the other day at the swimming.
Not as many boos as Osborne got.
Boris got nothing but cheers.Gordon Brown didn't get booed. What short memories people have...

I will report back on all booing and cheering. I hope we get someone really boo-able, but not George Osborne as the mere sight of him gives me the creeps.

This is what I've just heard from the guy opposite me - 'The problem I have with it is it's just a freakshow. I saw this one girl, right? The commentators were saying look at her smile and that. Well, of course she's smiling - she hasn't a fucking clue what's going on! She's too fucking stupid to know any better!'
This is a City trading floor for you - they spout offensive reactionary shite all day. The enormous tosser who said that is wearing red jeans ffs. I'm just a consultant who won't be here next week (thank yahweh), so can't say anything, so sharing my anger here.

Leave some tuna under his keyboard on your last day and start a rumour that he has an intimate hygiene problem.

Listening to some utter cunt holding forth on the paralympics, referring to the athletes (and pretty much anyone with a disability) as "those people", and pretty much saying that they shouldn't compete because they are not mentally equipped to deal with defeat.
I may accidentally stumble later, and see if he is mentally equipped to deal with a freshly made cup of tea in the lap.
Cunt.
This is in Ops. Ditto on not being able to give the massive twunt a shoeing though.
The enormous tosser who said that is wearing red jeans ffs.
Look at my fucking red trousers! -

Last night was amazing, I had such an awesome time. Saw Jonnie Peacock equal the paralympic record in the mens 100m. Also saw his mum (who works with my mum and was "off sick" yesterday on the big tv screens).
Saw Oscar Pistorius in his 100m heats and then winning gold and setting a new world record in the 4x100m relay.
Saw tons of new world records set, saw loads of fantastic sporting achievements, saw no politicians, had an all round brilliant time.
I have almost no voice left today :)

Better late than never I suppose(waiting for negs is lame)! Pics from my morning at the track last friday.
Mostly cack and out of focus as I suck at taking pics but hopefully there's a couple of gooduns in there.

Yeah, first sub 11 sec paralympic run, loved it!

Anyone know why there is a 5000 meter wheel chair race and a Marathon but no 10000 meter?
Is the difference from 5k to 10k in a wheelchair not great enough to merit racing?
Given David Weirs domination of both middle and long distance. -

Yeah, first sub 11 sec paralympic run, loved it!
In that classification I think. Some of the blind dudes run close to 10.5

Perhaps if they knew and worked with people with disabilities they'd have a better understanding and not form such moronic opinions.
Then again, being a city trader who wears red jeans is a significant disability which must be nigh on impossible to overcome...

Here's a few pics from when I visited last Sunday
Just got back from watching the evening athletics. The crowd were deafening. What an awesome night.
