Hey I'm going to try to pop down to the foundry tool club this thursday. I've got an issue with my new front wheel the axle is too wide, diameter wise, to fit the forks so if anyone is around for advice that would be great.

If its too wide, you can file down two opposite edges. Front axles come in 10mm or 9mm. So you are probably trying to put a 10mm axle in a 9mm slot. So taking off 0.5mm per side should do the trick.

Saw this in Sutton Coldfield. Looked it up on the 'tinternet American I believe. Couldn't find a UK stockist.

That was by the jacket potato/sandwich van wasnt it?
Yeah, i saw that too.
We were doing a few cycle surveys that day, and i'm surprised at how many non-hipster-like singlespeeds there are in that area. -

glad you didn't spot my Specialized rockhopper that I have converted to singlespeed. Its a work in progress. Any other interesting single speeds in Sutton?

My mates bike was stolen from his house last night. It's a Raleigh airlite 200. Also, a cream fixed gear surly steamroller with brown bullhorn handle bars was taken at the same time. If you see them or hear from them please let me know and I will let the owners know.
Keep those eyes and ears pealed guys!
Cheers

Kick ass, how did you get it painted like that?
-
• #716
With paint?
-
• #717
It's done without primer i think. means that with a thin layer of paint you can still see the brazing work beneath..fancy

• #718
I fucking love that paint job. Good job Hyper.

New one for those who haven't seen it. -

Glad you're OK mate! Take care.
Recently joined here. I'm at UoB so in selly oak and was wondering if there was anyone else in the area on here. I ride road bikes, but got an old pug road racer and aiming to turn it into my first fixie/pub bike.
