I've not done that personally. But I got a complete bike from someone who had this set up. It was shit! The cog and carrier would slip all the time and would become looser and looser whenever I rode the bike. It was awful. I took the carrier off, put a proper cog on and hey presto, everything was fine.
My new phil wood lockring is too small to lock the miche cog and carrier. In other words the cog can move inside the carrier when I fully thighten the lockring. I could turn the lockring around, letting "the bigger text part" face the carrier. Anyone done this? Bad or good idea?
