Paralympics

This is what I've just heard from the guy opposite me - 'The problem I have with it is it's just a freakshow. I saw this one girl, right? The commentators were saying look at her smile and that. Well, of course she's smiling - she hasn't a fucking clue what's going on! She's too fucking stupid to know any better!'

This is a City trading floor for you - they spout offensive reactionary shite all day. I'm just a consultant who won't be here next week (thank yahweh), so can't say anything, so sharing my anger here.

Listening to some utter cunt holding forth on the paralympics, referring to the athletes (and pretty much anyone with a disability) as "those people", and pretty much saying that they shouldn't compete because they are not mentally equipped to deal with defeat.

I may accidentally stumble later, and see if he is mentally equipped to deal with a freshly made cup of tea in the lap.
