Just to clarify, I don't have an issue with a gender specific jersey (as I agree, this started as a jersey for our specific corner of the forum). And I think the design is top banana. I just had some wobbles about the use of the term 'ladies' and I wanted to hear other people's views on it. I was suggesting 'women' would work just as well and possibly carry less baggage.

I think it was supposed to be ironic or something. I dunno; I don't really see the need for ladies' drinks or ladies' jerseys, but they seem to make people happy. Plus I like going to the pub and the men's jersey is fucking hideous so everyone's a winner. Except the men :l

I really like your design Scoot, but I also really like the summer jersey design (shark pits and all) so my concept of taste obviously differs from many people!
As for "LFGSS Ladies", I like the alliteration of the phrase, but have no strong opinion on the matter in respect to what to put on the back of the jersey.
Maybe LFGSS velocipedestriennes? ;)

Keep the ladies! I are proud to be an LFGSS Lady! People are different...embrace the difference!
Tbh I find being called a girl more patronising than being called a lady. Not that I get called a lady very often.

Nice to see the jersey numbers adding up and to read a range of views on wording.
Be great to hear even more.
Maybe time for a poll?Um.... how do I create a poll?

kat, you click here http://www.lfgss.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=56 and scroll right down to the bottom where it gives you poll options.

I'm not a fan of making something deliberately feminine because it is going to be worn by females
Just because there's a demand for another lfgss jersey it doesn't mean that us ladies can't have our own special one,
If people could be arsed there would be loads of forum jerseys for all the little forum niches and people wouldn't bat an eyelid at there being a ladies one.
As for "LFGSS Ladies", I like the alliteration of the phrase

FYI, I'm waiting to hear back from Milltag about receiving samples for us to try for size. Here are the options again in the meantime:
Women Height Chest
X-Small 158-160 80-84
Small 160-164 84-88
Medium 164-160 88-92
Large 168-172 92-96
X-Large 172-176 96-100
XX-Large 176-180 100-104When should we close the design poll so Scoot can amend/send in the final design? Tomorrow, 6pm?
Or are we going to do another poll so people can chose front and back wording?
These jerseys will be £35 each (ladies' fit only), are made from 'ultra technical sports fabric' (as opposed to merino) I have requested full-length zips and short sleeves. Speak up NOW if you want something different.
Could the people who'd like to buy a men's fit jersey please form an orderly list below, indicating what size you need?
Men Height Chest
X-Small 160-165 88-92
Small 165-170 88-92
Medium 170-175 92-96
Large 175-180 96-100
X-Large 180-185 100-104
XX-Large 185-190 104-108
XXX-Large 190-195 108-112

Sorry for the delay.
The good news is Milltag have a full range of women's sizes from XS-XXL for us to try. The stock is kept at 211 Westbourne Studios, 242 Acklam Road, W10 5JJ (just off the Westway).
Depending on when I can get over there (or if any Westies can do it, even better) I suggest we meet at LMNH over a weekend. I can do this Sunday lunchtime.
Not sure whether we can get just the one men's size made up for Khornight2. If people would rather PM me than broadcast your fit/size on here, that's fine.
Are we going to wrap the poll up or start another for both front and back?
-
• #371
Alternatively or in addition to, get them for ladies drinks on the 19th?
-
• #372
Damn, I can't do this Sunday (riding the London Bikeathon) or the 19th (team meal). I could do the Guinness ride but that's a hard ask for timescales unless somebody lives right there and can collect on the way to work or something :/
Did Milltag say how long we get to keep the samples?
-
• #373
I'm going to be at/under the Westway all day sat for the beginners tournament and am happy to pick up samples but I get the impression from Missmouse is that we need to go there?
-
• #374
I can't do this Sunday either - are you able to bring to ladies drinks next week?

Nope you don't. Just one of us needs to collect them and I think we can probably borrow them for a week or so to ensure people who want to can try the sizes.
Fantastic if you could do this Poots, thank you!
It would be helpful to know where people are prepared to meet...
