We don't do bidding wars, because we don't have a way to do it fairly.
You could get a higher "bid" five minutes after midnight and change the game, or you could dislike the highest bidder and refuse to sell. And as bids would all be closed, who knows whether you're telling the truth about who was highest?
Without any form of contractual framework, auctions cannot be accommodated on LFGSS.
Instead, LFGSS offer the equivalent of a very large jumble sale. And at a jumble sale you would not get the luxury of privately haggling with multiple people and trying to get them to bid against each other. Quite rightly, all of the potential buyers would in that scenario tell you to get stuffed.
So... highest bid? No... not at all. I'll ban you first, it's a nightmare of rubbish and will piss-off almost everyone and could never be fair without a contractual framework and a system that could enforce it.
As to price... you clearly did get it wrong, just not in the way people initially thought.
You didn't under-price it, given the size and location of that ding you may have over-priced it. Given the prior scramble to try and buy it I think most people will now have sobered up upon seeing the ding.
The lack of clarity on the ding in your first post (small dings!), and your attempt to turn a jumble into an auction house... both leave you looking a bit of a muppet.
I'm not sure how you'll untangle this all now. I would suggest closing the thread and starting a new one with all of the information upfront and having read the rules on classifieds (link at the bottom of every page).
This is a crazy thread.
shards, first thing first... LFGSS is not eBay.
