Sorry ol ... been laid low with some weird virus all week ... 2 days of shivering with cold, then 3 days of sleeping .... scared the shit out of me .. anyways back on my feet now ... be good to hook up and just batter a ball around in the week or next weekend ... if its just us 2 then we can stay local ... theres a wee court that's always empty down by Elswick road .. might be a good time to recce it

Hi strangers! Sorry to have been off the forum so long. I've had much to deal with, and it sounds like everyone else has been in the wars too.
As Ed's moving down London quite soon, we were thinking it would be good to host another lo-fi tournament in September before he's off. Also a good chance to get the crew back playing again, and make use of the Indian summer.
How would either Saturday the 8th or the 22nd be for everyone? I'll see if the other cities would be up for it and when they could do too.

Nice one. Let's say the 22nd then as it gives more time to prepare. Oliver still has the boards from last time and I can sort out lunch for everyone, make a facebook event and tell the locals. John, could you bring goals and gazebo again?...and how's the shoulder?
All the other cities are dead up for it; there's even two new teams, one in Holmfirth and one in Washington!

Just been checking train times. We won't be able to get to Newcastle til 1007. How long a ride is it from the station? Do you have a postcode for the courts? Still no confirmation from the other holmfirth players we're playing tomorrows I'll see what they say. But I'm sure we'll get a team together.

Sure. Polo Direct Arena (Shieldfield) or the General Hospital? 3 til 5 would be best for me. How about everyone else?

Unlucky Dave, if you still want to come up you'll be able to sort out a team on the day.
Hi Ol,
I'm out due to shoulder injury from speedway crash. I can ride a bike, but competitive mallet swinging is out of the question I'm afraid.....
