300 for the mercian is a great price, it might be within budget for me to buy the bike and a shrinking ray gun so that i can ride it. any idea how much the latter would set me back?

That Mercian deserves to be ridden round the countryside with an announcement made before it's arrival in each town so as the locals can come out and applaud.

Little update to confirm the Mercian is now sold. Nice to meet you Roolbg.

Something I failed to mention about the Mercier, is that I actually have the original JPR french seatpost that came with the frame, but that I was not using because too short for me (the frame is a 59 when I should ideally ride a 60-61). The seatpost is at my parents in France but I can arrange to get it back here and whoever buys the bike can have it of course. It looks like this (except it's not polished);

oh f&ck - I am after a track frame. I am sending a mercian back to get refurbed and a seatpost removed so let me know if still around after the weekend

PS if anyone wants a King of Mercian frame then let me know. Should be finished in 8-12 weeks
