some of the early carbon frames did have an issue with paint chips
i have a kestrel 200 http://www.lfgss.com/thread86909.html which has a good few paint chips but according to the reviews of the bike i have read it is a common thing with that bike it isn't an issue structurally, just cosmetically
what frame is yours ? might be worth just checking a few write ups on t'internet about the bike and see if it is a common feature
