It was a totally unnecessarily antagonistic question which caused offence to someone you lot had already wound up twice. The standing up and shouting 'come on then' was a completely dickhead move.
I was there, but frankly cant even remember anybody making that "is that even your bike" comment.
things shouted at him were "dont turn left", "do a lefty", and if it happened then definitely not before he dropped his bike in the middle of the road and became aggressive.
although yes, a dick comment, yes, shouting after it was clear hes quite sensitive was also a bad idea, especially shouting after he came back first time (most of us didnt, rest admitted they shouldnt afterwards).
but I doubt it would ever end with a fight, it was too many of us trying to ease out the whole accident..
it was too much beer and perhaps frivolous atmosphere, and this is here to be blamed in my opinion.
