I emailed Gareth above a while ago to check what the current scene was like and he said it's pretty non-existent. How many of your original players are still about? Would appreciate some advice on who might still be interested.
I don't mind starting a Facebook group and help spreading the word but in the past have found that approach to be unsuccessful in the long run. The polo that I started in Essex only lasted for a few months, partly due to using that method of organisation. I also used to play in Birmingham for 3 years and their system works well - get everybody to sign in to the forum each week and put their name down on a list if they can play, that way they know if there will be enough players and whether it's worth turning up. This pretty much eliminates demoralising low turnouts
Really keen to get this started up again.
