Does anyone live/work/cycle to near Burwell regularly? It's near Newmarket and there is a narrowboat project which I am considering there.
The guy selling doesn't seem too gifted and can't sort out photos.
If it wasn't too far out of someone's way, a few simple pictures would let me know whether it's worth my while coming up to take a proper look.
I will bend your ears about it at the weekend.
Tim

Yo! we are close to finalising the contract with Hewitts.
Is there anyone available Monday, September 3 at 4pm to meet at the court and hand over the documents and rent? Bogey?
I think the plan is to have a meeting Sept 14th at Angelos to decompress after the worlds and discuss next year's plans for the warehouse / upcoming tournaments.

Not a good time for me, I'm in meetings all day Monday, sorry. Perhaps Luca or Josh are free?

OK thanks boges.. anyone? RV is off on holiday that day. I am at work.
Just looking into the business rates stuff. I think we would be fairly safe from the fees if we are registered as a 'community amateur sports club'. It looks like you can apply for relief if you are classed as such. To do this we can register as a club with british cycling for 88 quid per year, then go through the application process with the council it seems. lf we reg with B.C., we would have access to insurance and insurance for events as well. We don't need to do this now, but it is an option if we are approached by the council.

Newmarket lads, do you think your girlfriends would be interested in coming to a ladies polo session if we do another one?
Thinking morning of Sunday 16th, maybe outside but we'd meet them at the court to sort bikes and mallets.
If so would you lend them your bikes also? -
• #6421
Yeh i think its something they'd all get involved in, might need another bike tho, most people struggle to get on mine.

You guys Party Illuminati? I think you will do well, although there are some people who have been playing west all summer who are now approaching that tipping point from falling over beginners, to really getting it. They will give you a good run for your money.
Monique, if you have a team that can come, please do. The more the merrier. Its in just over two weeks from now, and we've got a few prizes sorted out for it... it's for anyone who has been playing less than a year. Check the thread in the polo forum for more info.
Further to the last post about the new owners and renewing the lease. Because they are not a charity we may be liable to pay business rates which for a building that size will be massive. We will need to investigate becoming a community or charity status and need to have a meeting about it.
