We don’t do caffeine drinks we do real expresso!
Oh, expresso. Never seen that done before.

Hmm, not sure I'd want to partake in a ride "Designed for riders of fixies, vintage, retro or modern bikes".
Also, it's only 50 miles out, then back the same way.
Finally, for £21 I'm afraid I'd want more than a bottle of wine and a certificate.
Sorry to sound so negative about it.

I can't even enter. I'd be on it. I could sell the wine for £15; a marshalled night ride for £6? I could live with that. Although, the fact that the return rout isn't any different is a bit lazy.

not really my cup of tea but a nice bottle of wine, decent food and drink en route and a visit to a vinyard doesn't sound too bad for £21. didn't spot that it was a 100 miles round trip till you pointed it out though!
and, yeah. if you're going to go all classy and retro and blah, at least know how to spell espresso. it's not the 80's anymore. -

Fairsenuf.
Where/how would you sell the plonk for £15?
Marshaled yes, but you have to pay to be rescued, should you need to be.

Isn't that all the kinds of bike?

Precisely.

Sadly, some of my friends would pay that for lambrini let alone one off British wine.

Aaaaaanyway.... I'm doing it, so if anyone else decides that the idea of it doesn't offend them too much, then let me know!

Possibly in for this, my brother of all people mentioned it.
Not too bothered about the expected clientele, but 100 miles for £21 and hopefully meeting some forumgers sounds alright to me.
Will confirm if I'm in for the ride. -

Me and a mate have just signed up. Sounds like a good laugh and food every 15 miles sounds like a challenge in itself!
-
• #14
yep, they charge more for normal bikes though (think there is a discount on vintage/ fixies)

I signed up as a whopping newbie to all this.
Just need to sort my bike, not sure I fancy dragging my Airnimal 100 miles around Kent...
For the record, as I'm sure all the other entrants got, they;re doing a discount thingy where you can ride for the bargain(!) price of a fixie no matter what you ride. Plus if 4 of you do it (and quote my referral fee) I get a jersey, for joy....

Can I just state that I have no official affiliation with this ride, and do not endorse it in any way.
