  • do we need lights? I mean I have lights but they are shit . . cateye plastic jobbie (3 LED) front and exposure flare at back, is that enough?

  • Descending in the dark is scary.
    I advise lights -
I can lend you an LED that's better than nothing but maybe not better than what you have - though both together maybe ok. Someone else probably has a better spare than me.

  • I'll bring a spare hope to EJ. I put it on charge this morning.

  • cheers dude! 1X beer token unlocked

  • Cheers

You don't happen to know the diameter of your handlebars do you? 26mm ish or fatty 31.8?

  • next deluxe is UP http://www.lfgss.com/thread92106.html#post3092722

    get in!

"Darling, you know we got married yesterday innit? But could I spend the first part of our honeymoon with Benjam, Des and the TNRC crew on the IOW? You know it makes sense."

Reckon I will be missing this one. Gutted

  • Honeymoon on the IoW, sneak out at midnight, back by dawn, missus none the wiser.

  • Cheers

dont think they are oversized, can check if its critical ..

  • Thatd save me finding the rubber bits to adjust the clamp on the light, or having to bodge something.

  • checked, its oversized

I promise Des will put out.

    in short: no.

bring lights that you are happy to descend with at 40-50kph in pitch black.

sounds like alex has hooked you up though.

  • Be aware that if you descend at 50kph you risk stealing Ludwigs strava kom, which is possibly more dangerous than the crash you'd have with no lights.

  • I promise Des will put out.

    Boo!

  • I'll bring a spare light anyway in case it doesn't fit. Vesalius - ditto Simon's comment, be good to see you out there.

I'm really tired after the weekend and wondering what possessed me to put up a route that includes both Barhatch Lane and Whitedown. On the other hand and I might be wrong here, but it would be a shame to miss a TNRCer birthday in full strava face mode.

  • you guys sound like a serious fast bunch ; ) guess I will be left behind :P

  • you guys sound like a serious fast bunch

We are all going down hill fast. Which is similar.

  • My turn to get tickets, see you guys in a bit.

  • Out.

    Still at work.

There's a slim chance I'll get out in time to follow everyone around the route, but if not then enjoy the evening. It looks like a top opportunity for a spin.

  • i am here standing opp platform 13

  • on my way

    eta 16 mins.

    bishop.

  • Boo!

  • bit of a fail for me this evening: overtightened my cranks and snapped the self extracting bolt. Luckily SRAM design those FSA Megaexo's to snap the bolt before the crank! £10 replacement already ordered.

One day i might actually make a TNRC without hitch.

  • Boo!
