Amazing weekend..! thanks London!!
Big thanks to my Beavers!
Josephine i'm so gutted that rain screwed up us getting a game together on Saturday. Valley, you're superstar..! when i saw you limping around i thought there was no way you'd play, but play you did, our qualifaication games on Saturday were great fun, and you were a great teammate, level headed, positive all combined with a wicked shot.....! you also seemed to be the unluckiest, mallet to the face while watching a game! i was really disappointed that you couldn't play our first Elim game... ;(
Also a massive, massive thank you to Tiffany for stepping up to sub for Valley in our game against Bromance it went right down to the wire goal for goal into extra time, there was so little between us, and for us as throw in team to do that was an awesome feeling... thank you...
And clearly a massive thank you to Alex (das penetrator) Morgenstein for stepping in as a sub (first for Josephine and then for Valley) great to play with you again.. i'll see if i can make it to Hamburg so we can get some more games....
Amazing weekend, London you surpassed yourself, Can't wait for LO 2013......

Im sad its all over!
Jon, your incredible hard work paid off, it was such an awesome weekend. One of the biggest and best tournaments ever. You, Erin and the rest of the LPC volunteers are a huge assest to our community - thank you!! Rich, you were a great team-mate. Played out of your skin and held it together when we had to play 2 on 3, brilliant ball skill. Highlights of my weekend were the Warins slaying it, seeing even more rad female players step it up a notch, the Australians heckling the shit out of everything and screaming myself hoarse for the players staying at my house - Edisons and Cherri were killer all weekend, miss you guys already and so many more awesome people!!! x

As above.
I said this a few times this weekend, but I love the LO because of it's party atmosphere and all-round good vibes. It is THE polo festival!
Jono, brilliant work as always. And a huge big up to everyone who helped. HBomb is podium master!
Thanks again, B, for being an awesome team mate, and Dale! Wouldn't have been the same without you! Eye of the Liger was amazing fun! But Dale, those weren't fabric markers!!! D:
Polo after-after party was epic. What has been seen ...

Great work London.
Spent so much time talking to people who'd never seen the game before. Great exposure for polo. Roll on next year.. 100 teams?

Thanks to all peeps who made the LO the great success it was!
Great atmosphere, undaunted by the weather, and the standard of polo was obscenely high!
Watching Team Warin was the highlight for me, all 3 of them played brilliantly and with the crowd behind them they seemed unstoppable!

As a new spectator... Thanks to everyone - organisers and players - for putting on such a cool spectacle. Saw the girls' tournament on my commute home on Friday, and thought, "That looks cool" and went and watched for 10 minutes or so.
Never saw anything like it. Spoke to a really friendly guy who explained what it was all about, and what was in store for the weekend.
Made it down on Saturday and Sunday for a couple of hours of really good entertainment. The skill and teamwork were amazing, the crowds were all friendly and happy to answer our innane questions ("How many spare teeth do you need to play?" "Oh, you don't need any teeth.") and it was excellent fun. Not sure I'd like to be a ref.

Oops, I should have said that anyone who is interested in giving polo a go, there is a North East beginners session this Saturday, 10am at London Fields! I have a loaner polo bike, lots of mallets and everybody is welcome. Please pass my email on to anyone who might be interested: jess@lhbpa.org. New players keep the community going!

Thanks for a fantastic weekend to everyone involved in the mammoth task of putting on such a huge tournament. I have no idea how you coped, especially when the extreme weather hit on Saturday. I really liked how the groups were split into morning/afternoon/evening sessions. The venue was set up very well and as others have said, there were lots of spectators giving good feedback having never seen the sport before.
A big thanks to my team mates for the weekend Machine & Matt. You guys were great to play with and I think brought out the best in me, especially when we beat the Scots!
Finally, a hefty congratulations to Team Warin on their 13th spot. You guys were on fire and I am still hurting from when Alfie checked me into the boards!!!

Another characterful edition of LO - challenged by both the 'Open'-ness growth and the shock weather attack. Organisers and participants stepped up further than they could have reasonably expected, contributing vital positivity throughout and sharing the hit.
The on court performances were increasingly inspiring, if less visible in the gloom of the finals - it was important and invaluable for the grass roots scenes to see these great male and female players in action, not just for technique/commitment/style, but for the sporting chivalry too.
I did miss the 'up-and-coming' non-qualifiers tournament, which was the jewel-in-the-crown from 2011, and not being able to buy an official tournament shirt.
In what was probably the most expensive polo weekend of the year for most of us, especially when measured against on-court time, it's the positive memories that will make us come back willingly for more - job done methinks.

Ha! Thanks Bill. The major perk to helping out at the 'bar' was getting to play dumb music all weekend.
