For Sale: Genesis Day 02 Commuter, 54cm, brand new condition.

Up for grabs is a Genesis day 02 bike that has seen next to no use since purchase in 2010. The bike has been stored inside and has so little use it still has all the warning stickers/bell/reflectors from original purchase!

The size is 54cm square and is pretty standard commuter geometry

The bike's spec is as follows;
-triple butted alu frame.
-Carbon fibre forks, handlebars, bar ends and seat post.
-Shimano RS10 10 speed wheel set with straight pull spokes, radially laced at front
-Shimano 105 hollowtech 2 compact chainset and bb.
-Shimano 105 10 speed drivetrain (cassette, both derailleurs and chain)
-Shimano 105 brake callipers.
-Shimano 10 speed flat bar brake leavers and gear shifters (equivalent of ultegra I believe!)

Located close to Bethnal Green tube station and the bike can of course be ridden away. £480 -> 470 gets it. these are comfortably over a grand now as I think the ones with tiagra 9 speed are about £950 from cyc surg or evans.

This is great. And it amuses me that this shipped with the same finishing kit as my 2009 CAAD9.

£480 = epic barg. I'd buy it if I had space for it.

Cheers mate, selling for a mate who (obviously) hasn't used it much. priced as such as he needs the money pretty sharpish.

Never thought about it, but you could buy it for the group and shift the rest on the bay. Have recommended it to him but he can't be arced/doesn't have the time.

Had the original Day02 11 years ago, absolute flyer and could turn on a penny, touring/commuting and club rides, It'd do everything you want. Shame this is a small as I would have been tempted.
Curious as to the the hi-tensile alu frame tag as they were triple(03)/double butted(02) alu frames.

yeah, just checked and you are indeed correct. it is triple butted aluminium. op has been edited.
