  • well, at least you started out lucky

It's only 1 pin... but I still can't bring myself to ask for a price on a repair.

  • Umm just bend it back.

Anyone on here got an OM-D? Any good?

  • Still having a few transferring issues with the GF3- going to have to figure out the best way of being able to transfer from .RW2 to something useable to store on a mac (I don't really post-process- so the changes that occur in transfer (slight wash-out/ loss of on camera processing) are annoying.

    Some from Kenya

  • amazing colours on second one, bit of post on the first and it'll be as good

Not wanting to start a RAW v JPEG debate but, if you don't post process, why shoot RAW?

  • So I finally got round getting myself a lens hood and a filter for my X100, but now the problem is, which many also experience, the leather case from Fuji no longer fits the camera. So anyone has any suggestion of a good pouch or case for the camera? I should probably mention I am looking at a padded pouch or something similar so I can leave the camera in my bag safely.

  • I use a bobble hat.

  • Crumpler banana hammock.

  • Does anyone use, or have experience with GPS devices for geo tagging? I remember a friend of mine had a keyring GPS device that he used to tag photos using some software. I can't for the life of me remember what the GPS keyring device was though.

  • Does anyone know of a UK distributor for DIAGNL straps?

  • I downsized from a 40D with some top glass to a GF3 + 20mm f/1.7 which is proving great but miss my 10-22!

Anyone have experience with the samyang 7.5mm fisheye on m43?

No, but that looks like a great way to get your camera nicked.

  • Well. Lens at most. But I see your point.

  • Lens?

One clip to undo and the Whole thing will slide off.

Or drop to the ground if it's accidentally unclipped rather than done by a tea leaf.

    Pretty shit design IMO.

  • Oh, shit. I never noticed the buckle. Well, that is a bit shit. The concept of a sliding strap like messenger bag straps does appeal to me though.

  • Made in Japan -> made for Japan -> no theft risk.

If you still want one I can probably track one down over here, though.

Talking of Chrome, fuck that buckle. I had the bag less than a week before my asshole friends figured out that yes, it was a working buckle and yes, if you press it the bag and its contents will plummet to the ground.

  • Here's a few I took in the Arashiyama bamboo forest today.

You are ShadyNasty and I claim my five pounds.

  • Talking of Chrome, fuck that buckle.

So true, one of my mate broke his toe with my bag... Fucker walked up behind me and undid the buckle like that, little did he know I was carrying 12 textbooks.
Karma, motherfucker, do you speak it?

  • +1 to chrome buckles. when i had mine, every now and then... "oh what does this big shiny red button do? oh it smashes the contents of your bag!"

does anyone have any recommendations of good camera straps for dslr? just a kind of basic strap that is removeable fairly quickly for tripod usage. dont like the look/price of blackrapid

Does your tripod mount to your strap lugs? Coz I can't see any other possible reason for having to remove a strap to use a tripod.

Straps, in my humble opinion, should be as difficult to remove from the camera as possible as it strikes me that a strap which is quick or easy to remove is more a)less secure and b)more likely to come undone accidentally.

Do you have stairs in your house?

  • Can I live under them?

That's what I meant. The sliding strap is a good idea, though don't know if it would work IRL.

Tripod + strap + strong wind = blur.

Yes, I know it could be wrapped around one of the legs.

  • Do you have stairs in your house?

    I am protected
