I just bought myself a Kryptonite New York M18 lock after reading this thread. I was getting a bit paranoid about my bikes and needed some peace of mind.
I'm very pleased I did. It's very big and burly and looks well up to the job.
Reason I chose this one was
a) it was listed in the first page if this thread for primary security and
b) its the best lock of a useful size that I like. Obviously the Fag is the best but this thing is just like one of them but in a practical and useful size, i.e. what I wanted! I can't see how a Fag can be used practically to lock up your bike (with both wheels - front removed by the QR) and lock it TO something. I also may need to use it for my MTB as well so need the bigger size for that too.
I'd also like to add that if anyone was wondering, it IS rated Sold Secure Gold. (some internet searches I did said otherwise).
Anyway, it's a very decent lock. If you want a lock like a Fag but in a practical, useable size, get this.
Also, in case anyone was wondering - Internal measurements of the 'D' are 100mm x 260mm.
I found it for £62.45 on Amazon, free postage. Arrived next day. Great.
