I'd be suprised if the RibMo's didn't feel more sluggish than the conti cx speeds. I ran mine at 80psi - loads of grip, on and off road, light and rolled really well.
Naff all puncture protection mind, but I got lucky...
RibMo are fairly light for the size and puncture protection offered (35c is 490g, and a proper 35c at that) but agree there will will loads of tyres that feel less sluggish although that may not be the CX Speed. You would need a 42c in a Continental tyre to match the Panaracer 35c as Panaracer don't lie and the 42c CX Speed is 460g.
I would love to use a lightweight slick cyclocross type tyre, however, a good level of puncture protection is a must for me. Go out into the stoney and flinty ground where I live without good puncture protection and you spend more time fixing flats than riding. Although you may be a few seconds faster between each stop on the lighter tyres!
