2012-08-23 - Rider Down, Park Lane - Help needed to find the cyclist

Received this by email, trying to locate the rider so that if he has reported it to the police he can be put in touch with the witness.

I need to start a new post please as I am trying to track down a male cyclist that I witnessed DELIBERATELY knocked off his bike by a maroon Range Rover at the end of Park Lane at Hyde Park Corner at approx 7.30pm last night. I want to offer myself as a witness.

I was driving a campervan in the lane next to the range rover and saw the whole shocking incident. I could not stop because there was nowhere to stop!

I believe that the cyclist was uninjured but I think his bike was damaged. Regardless, the driver is a menace and used his vehicle as a weapon.

I tried calling the MET but they could not tell me if an accident had been reported or not and suggested I go into my local station.

I am going away tonight for the weekend so will not be able to go to Brixton station.

Please either let me post this or post it for me - in the hope that the poor rider spots it and I can see if I can help.

Good luck to all of you! I am trying to find a cyclist who was deliberately knocked off his bike at around 7.30pm last night at the Hyde Park Corner end of Park Lane, at the lights. He was having a row with a big guy in a maroon Range Rover, who then deliberately drove in to him and knocked him off his bike. I am happy to be a witness.

If anyone has knowledge of who the cyclist is, please let us know.
