I think there is a place for shit films. Good films are taxing, sometimes you WANT to watch a shit film to relax. Not some epic you will remember forever, just something mildly amusing and perhaps with some sexy bits.
I think that is as much the reason behind the shit british film industry, as this whole tax relief malarkey.
