So here I am, haven't had a closer look yet as to whether it was the lockring or the hub that stripped, but yeah, bombing a hill last night, car pulled out, went to skid and then started freewheeling. Thought I'd snapped my chain... unfortunately not. Rode it out ok... I'm putting off having a closer look as I can't face a destroyed record hub..... Had to scoot/coast/be pulled by JordanD all the way home.
Scary shit when it happened. Might sound funny, but extremely happy it happened when and where it did. Could've been the end of the Panasonic in other circumstances... Then I would be crying.
Fixed gear, no breakz, can't stop... no srsly, can't stop...
