• If you can measure it all accurately or have the headset make and model you will be able to order new ones online. If not, pop to your LBS and they should be able to sort you out for under a fiver. You'll have to take your bike or old bearings or both with you.

    Thanks. The old bearings were in a circular casing, which snapped. I still have this and some of the bearings, would that be enough for them to go on?

    The headset is described on the bike manufacturers website as "Headset- Alloy Aheadset,1 1/8”. Would that enable them to give the right bearinga without taking the bike? I can't ride it and I don't think there's a shop that close to me.
