There is a wonderful quote from the Queen Mother, God rest her soul, which I think would look great on a forum t-shirt. When asked what she thought of the European Union, she said
"It'll never work with all those kikes, wops and dagos"
How about this, in gold on a red background, in a kind of pyramid shape?

Did she really say that? Can you cite an authoritative source?

There are many quotables from HrH the Duke of Edinburgh which would be eminently suitable. If you like that kind of thing...

How about a t-shirt bearing the legend:
Although I belong to LFGSS, I totally disassociate myself from Marcom
-
• #186
^^^I'm afraid I cannot, I heard it from a Times journalist on a television program, and I have forgotten his name. But it would be a shame for this to affect your decision to use the quote on the t-shirt.

I know this is a radical suggestion on lfgss, but is there any chance that one of the t-shirts could, you know, celebrate cycling?
I'm definitely not a designer, but I am a cyclist, and my favourite forum t-shirts are:
- The Sheldon 'exploded tarck bike' diagram
- 531/Awesome
- the one with the drawing of all the different types of cyclists on it
If I was trying to parody the usual suggestions that often come up for t-shirts I'd probably write something like marcom did. Ok, probably minus the n word, but sometimes it does seem like a competition to come up with something as juvenile, childish and ugly as possible.
I like SP's idea, it sounds bicycle related and tasteful and also incorporates the social side. More of that please.

Hi Vb, I know that you haven't decided all the rules and stuff about yet, but I have been inspired and I can't resist, what about:
...LFGSS,
.......IN
... LIKE A
..NIGGER!Printed in cubical on the front of the T-shirt.
If I see it on the street, the first thing that I will think is what the fuck is that LFGSS? It will capture the attention, and the wonder about the site.
I'm not very good in drawing, so I must stick with text.
The word "nigger" at the bottom, but large, "like a" in the middle and "in" on the top, it can be see like a sort of pyramid, it shape like a pyramid, so, pharaoh, gold, history etch; with "LFGSS" above it, like the sun, source of energy for the whole symbol of civilisation.
Then, it will also show how this place has always being against racism, and using that word is gonna be like we are against racism and everyone is welcome, Jewish, Chinese, South African, Italian, Sicilians, Irish everyone is welcome in, like a friend! Especially for you as a boss.I know, that word has been used in the seventies, and now you may don't like because it sounds a bit out of fashion, but, in fashion, is normal to use things of the past, renewed to the actual time, and bamboo is very modern.
I don't think is gonna be interpreted offensive for the black community, unless they are disgusted by this place.
Would be nice to have it in red, like blood, the print in yellow, like gold, the boys are gonna like it, plus the two colours combined will do the Roma football team, and here again it can remind conquering, fighting, colosseum, lions, slaves, etch.
Now, the only thing that it may be not totally correct is to patronise the word 'nigger', I mean use it for something frivolous and not really being related to racism, I bit like use it for advertising, it's not really my intention, but it can be see it like this, and I apologise for that.
Anyway, just an idea.
You are the love child of Bernard Manning and Jim Davidson and I claim my five pounds.

I saw an LFGSS Awesome 531 sticker once, there should be more of them, and t-shirts.
I'm definitely with Fox in having something cycling-related on it, after all, that's why we're all here, isn't it? Oh right.
Anyway, seeing as Sheldon was mentioned as well, I really like his quotation 'Coasting is a pernicious habit' from his page on fixed gear conversions, which sort of fits right in here, as that's how many of us got started and like to keep under wraps, and how many of us still occasionally roll.
I'm no good at designing though.
It'll probably clash with my swastika trousers and klan hood though.
