• I have a blue metallic Raleigh Arena in I'm guessing about a 54cm seat tube.

Found it this evening*. Small, nice, would clean up nicely, no dents particularly but scratched a bit. Probably 1970s, heavy (not reynolds etc, some proprietary raleigh gas stove piping). Has bottom bracket and vintage cottered cranks of unknown quality.

one pump bracket is bent (could easily bend it back I think) and the head badge is missing.
Yours for nothing, but it would be great if you made a donation to the forum. Can pick up tomorrow during the day from near southwark bridge. PM me.

*literally found it in a pile of rubbish by some biffa bins I was walking past, it was definitely someone else's rubbish but it looks fine to me.

  • Yep. Just saw that this morning...! Now edited so it's a suggested instead of a compulsory forum donation, although you still should... At least i wasn't trying to profit from it, that would have been embarrassing!

Maybe i should put it back, but i don't want the bin men to get it

  • Bump free frame

  • I should be able to get it back on the road again. Will come pick up tomo. Will also donate to forum.

  • i just paid £40 for one of these off ebay!! damn, had no wheels with it, any idea what size they are whoevers got it now?

  • I've seen a couple of these on ebay recently. All had 26" wheels on them

  • nice one, i thought so, but found one site/blog that said they were some odd 70s child size and panicked a bit. got a trial pair of 26"s in there now... gonna test some 700s too.
    Thanks!

  • somebody please come and take this away (and donate some cash to LFGSS if you're feeling generous, but mainly take it away)...

  • ok I'm in... can I have it? I'm in Southwark now but have a 430pm meeting to go to.
    PM-ing...

  • yes, PM replied to., give me a call

  • now gone to mands, nice to meet you. Please post pics built up and consider a small forum donation!

  • Dough-nated!
Home in one piece thanks to BigxTop bags.

A pleasure to meet you too!

Now, who's got a fork for me?
Oh and stem, and seat post, and....

  • it's been a while but finally things are moving.
I reckon a build thread will appear soon...
