  • Im so up for steak today. I get the feeling the queue's going to be massive though.

  • If you do get there 6.15 6.30 you'll be alright i think, they had the door locked till 6.20 when i went

  • I think tomorrow will be steak night for me, might try and go tonight though. When I went a few weeks ago we walked straight in and were seated immediately, has the queue been long most night?

  • Pascalo, dry cure or wet?
    (not euph)

  • I am (finally) going to do the ginger pig sausage making course tonight. Very much looking forward to it.

  • Enjoy Omar. I love making sausages, and I've gone the GP pork class, its dead good and you should get a nice feed too. #jelly

  • Tenderloin and his cute waitress = flouncers

Steak = very good. Definitely worth it though grim looking queues on our way out.

  • You will shout at the telly any time someone "sears the meat to keep the juices in"

Oh good. I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that.

  • Tenderloin and his cute waitress = flouncers

    no shows?

  • Was the blonde waitress there ?

  • I'd arranged to go with a couple of friends, who had to raincheck until Thursday - I couldn't justify double dipping.

  • Or risk failing in my pursuits in front of forumers*

Think what it would do to my rep.

    So much nerg for that.

    *Obvs would never happen.

  • Tuesday 21st August: The Spoil 'Loin's Game Ride

    The evidence:

Sorry about the shockingly bad phone photo

  • I wonder if b&d and his gf are still waiting in the queue...

  • ugh i want more now, god dammit.

    and probably... place is mental

(and the place downstairs is insanely expensive, £11 for a wine and a pint????)

  • Probably. That was 1987-ish. I doubt that at 113 she's making much fried chicken these days. Plus you'd have to go to the shores of Lake Texhoma. Her fried catfish was something special as well.

BTW - I forgot about the catfish at Lake Texhoma.

  • Already done Meatwagon, Meateasy and Meatliquor burgers but the Black Palace burger at Meatmarket today was ridiculous.

Medium rare dripping grease in every direction and served red hot.

  • : ) after you typed that earlier I spent about half an hour looking at them/recipes when I should have been writing.

  • Tuesday 21st August: The Spoil 'Loin's Game Ride

Was the blonder waitress there? Can anyone confirm?

  • You can't spoil these loins, much as I've tried.

  • She wasn't according to your dear colleague.

But everyone was ridiculously pretty there. You'd have fitted right in. With your champagne flute.

  • I'm currently trying to grow out a moustache for a video so felt a little 'rough around the edges' for such venerable company.

  • ridiculous.

Medium rare dripping grease in every direction and served red hot.

    Can't tell if ridiculously bad
    Or good

Anyway, this thread feels a bit meated out. Here's a veggie curry feast for your delectation:

Recipes: Smoky Aubergine Curry and Butternut Squash Coconut Curry

  • Such nom.

But your blog title is a bit misleading now : )

  • My heart lives in Brixton ;-)
Honestly you will not believe what you can't get hold of out in the provinces. What I wouldn't do for Electric Avenue market on my doorstep. Well, except for the smell of course. You guize can have the smell.
