what's the new purchase gaffer - bit of crabon?
-
• #7
Nah, bit of exotica, will update soon. Need some help from a friendly ginger mechanic, for whom I intend to buy a cider or two tonight.

Would you take 350 for the frameset if you split?
-
• #9
I might. Would prefer not to split but, if I could get takers for all/most of the parts at the right price, then I would certainly consider it.
-
• #10
Ok well dibs on the frameset if you find takers?
-
• #11
OK, will let you know. Cheers

I snapped this up from Markyboy - great bike, we're treating each other well! Cheers Mark :-)
New purchase means I've got to clear our a couple of bikes and, reluctantly, I'm letting the low pro go. The frame is branded Veneto and has track ends, although I suspect it was a road bike and these have been added. It has a Columbus sticker on the seat tube, but I have no way of guaranteeing that it is Columbus tubing.
I bought the frame from Skully, who picked it up in France; the wheels were built up by Alex at Cavendish Cycles (now Fitzrovia) and Hillbilly put the bike together. Here's the spec: -
Frame - ST 58cm (c-t), TT 57cm (c-c)
Gios chromed 650 forks
Stronglight headset
Sugino 75 crankset with 48t Sugino 75 chain ring
Shimano SPDs
Sugino 75 bottom bracket
Phil Wood high flange track hubs
Velocity rims - 700/650
Bontrager Race Lite tyres
Cut down Nitto straight bars
Nitto Jaguar 80 stem
Dirty Harry brake lever
Tektro brake caliper
Bontrager seat post
San Marco Regal saddle
I'm not looking to split at the moment and would like £700 for the whole bike, which I think is reasonable. Will post more photos in due course, but please PM me if you want to know more or take a look at it. I'm in Brixton and pretty free in the evenings at the moment.
Thanks for looking
