Er complete twaddle on stress on the seat post!!!!! Seat post is strong as an Ox- providing the saddle bag mounting is strong enough you can stand on the thing & the seat post just keeps on doing what it's meant to do - carbon or whatever.
I really don't have a clue where you're coming from here on seat post stress
I use el cheapo e-bay racks - have an expensive one too, just not worth the money though. I carry a slim bag on a rack such as this for spare tubes etc for MTB 's which take both 700's & 650's - can't be arsed to make sure I have x2 spares tubes for each set of wheels.
This one fits what size seat post - I'm guessing up to 31.8 ?

I understood the carbon seatpost comment as in: who wants to have a rack installed on a nice bike with carbon components.

The pannier is still available. 2 people came forward but collection was too far. I can drop it off in Richmond or Hounslow on a nice sunny day.
rear rack
attaches to a seatpost
bought for my gf last year --I got her a front basket now so she can monitor the contents while cycling
needs a wipe but no point as it will get muddy in the rain anyway
