  • New stagea

  • New unfinished pet project...

  • Paging jung. I'm in ldn awaiting test drive!

Me too, sadly the mighty beast is still in Andover awaiting a radiator!

Oh the irony of having a car imported from California that overheats in the UK...

  • LOL. Alanis, eat your heart out.

I am right in thinking your moving back to Cali mate? Perhaps the import was a little pre-emptive.

Will she ever run on London streets ;)

  • Chucked on the ipod so I can cruise round Boscombe this eve bustin out Biggy

    what the?!?

give it o me, i'll sort it. sounds like air pockets in the system or headgasket leaking into a bore. or just fucked rad.

    leave on the 2nd.

Nah, checked all the above - it's just way too small. Small block rad meets stroked, tuned big block and fails. Should have just ponied up for a new one in the first place when I was buying all the other bits.

It has left the US apparently, so might get here and in before the 2nd.

Jonny, subject to the US visa people liking me looks like a move to Cali is on the cards. Double irony if it never turns a wheel in anger over here.... ;)

  • ha, well thats your own fault using stock rad. aluminium ones are cheap cheap. going to run a 2 stage thermo fan as well?

  • Nah stock BB fan pulls air bloody well - will be fine over here.

  • OOOf. Nice garage. The Porsche won at Daytona. The second photo is the car in the foreground in the first.

I don't want to be harsh but it genuinely would be hilarious if you transport it back to USA before you leave any 11's in this country. (would have been a lot cheaper and faster to have built over there I'm sure).

  • I'm debating whether I should take the E30 to Dubai.

  • For a holiday?

  • Nah, Mrs b&d has a job there so I'm off too.

  • Minimum 2 years.

  • If you have a lovely E30 M3 you should take it everywhere with you. Never let it go and then end up being buried in it in a style akin to a Viking longboat sent burning into the sea. One of my most coveted cars since I was 6 or 7 years old and my uncle bought an Sport EVO.

  • It's agonisingly expensive to move cars around the planet.

  • ^^ Have to say I do like the sound of that.

Maybe go for a rocket space launch tho.

Actually I've often thought about a massive firework cremation.

    Patents

  • I'll drive it to Dubai for you.

  • Cheap petrol! From a recent report:

Regular gasoline now sells nationwide in the U.A.E. for
    1.72 dirhams, or 47 cents, a liter, or $1.88 a gallon. By
comparison, the average price in the U.K. was £6.18 a gallon
($9.88), according to a June report from the Automobile
Association, and $3.65 a gallon in the U.S. as of June 20,
according to the Energy Information Administration . Saudi
Arabia, the world’s biggest oil exporter, charges 17 cents a
    liter at the pump.

  • For the love of god don't take it with you mate. It will not survive. That and the risk of transportation as well. It'll need to be dry stored to last in that environment too.

If your gone for 2 years that's only twice you'll miss seeing the car anyway! ;)
