  • Jadias, it definitely is not an instant results camera, in my experience. I really struggled with it for the first few weeks, particularly when trying to shoot it like my Nikon DSLRs. I have had much better results since shooting it fully manual (bar autofocus) - including no auto ISO and no auto DR. In aperture priority (my go-to shooting mode) I found it has a tendency to over-expose. In manual, by riding the exposure triangle and watching the meter (which also seems a bit more skittish than my D700) I am getting far better results.

    It is a camera which really shines if you have time to set up a shot. Sure, you can use it like a point-and-shoot but there are faster-focussing compacts with smaller sensors which will yield better grab shots.
