  • definitely sounds sick

  • Are you going from London? Have you registered yet? I've got a confirmation today - I'm in.

    Also:

    []Hardtail frame
    [
    ]Rigid or Front suspension only
    []29" wheels
    [
    ]Single Speed
    [*]Rear brake only

looks like I'll be borrowing one of their bikes

  • i haven't registered yet, as I'm not too sure how id get there. Id also have to borrow a bike too. If only it was a bit closer!

  • looks fun but the red bull rules suck sometimes...

  • sounds cool, but why on a thursday??

  • And why 29"?

  • I guess all they want is just a footage, promotion, discussions on the Internet for their new 29" charge weaver bike, without getting the field too crowded.

  • Looks like a hell of a lot of fun.

But Thursday? And so far out in the middle of nowhere?

Does seem like it's for photo ops only. But am really tempted to go and along and give it a try. How the hell do you get to Frome though?

  • How the hell do you get to Frome though?

Make him throw away a stage win because of team orders?

  • That's how to piss his missus off. She will then bleat on about it endlessly and he'll get a nosh on the team bus for venting his spleen in a national newspaper.

Still, he'll win the Vuelta because of team orders.

  • . How the hell do you get to Frome though?

I was thinking train to Bath then cycle. Let me know if you go.

  • Why not, free medical care?

  • Late for it... but seriously thinking about it.

    Anyone actually going?

It just sounds like too much of a blast to miss.

  • Reckon I could drive, leaving after 8am from new Kew Bridge, and even with a service station piss stop and coffee break still be there with time to blag onto the qualifying lists before noon.

As I'm teetering on doing this, anyone also wanting to do this who can get their singlespeed 29er to mine tomorrow morning and wants to help towards fuel cost will pushme over the edge and I'll do it.

  • are we allowed to wear adidas clothing ?

  • Yes. Did you buy the Team GB strip or something?

And you going to come down?

  • work commitments dave ... you remember those from the dark dark days many moons ago !!
looks a bundle of laughs but sadly as a hay fever sufferer in a field full of hay it might not end well !

i was having a little dig at the adidas underground thing last week
where they told people exactly what they had to wear i.e. nothing apart from adidas

  • actually work commitments for you is turning up at drinks regularly and being plied with lager !

thems the kind of commitments i wish i had to make

  • Postponed until Monday 20th because of the weather. https://twitter.com/CHARGEBIKES/status/235752416161701888

I'll be keen. Don't have a 29er, unfortunately, will have to borrow one from Charge.

    Awesome :)

More time to arrange things then.

So I have a car, and roof rack space for 2 bikes (1 will be full with my bike).

That means I can seat 3 and carry 1 more bike.

    Anyone in?

    Works for me.

Or use mine. Depends on the gearing on theirs I guess. Mine requires Atac cleats.

  • Perfect.

  • RED BULL WEAVERS POSTPONED

    Hey Guys and Girls

We have been on site all week and had an amazing ride of the course last night testing the bikes, course was super quick and flowed like a dream!

Problem is.........its rained very heavily for the last 6 hours. At the moment it is just about ridable but as soon a few people have made there way down the track it will be quagmire.

We spent alot of time making the course, we looked at the weather and its going to be good over the weekend (just not tomorrow!!).

We have moved the event to MONDAY 20th AUGUST all the times will still stay the same.

We can only apologize for the British weather and as you can imagine this is super frustrating.

Please let me know if you can attend on Monday by confirming your attendance.
