Those vids are a bit Dave Gorman for my liking. (He'll be on the show within the month, i predict.)
The presenter seemed to get a fast time on the gogogopedalpedalpedal thing. -

they've been funny with product placement. Happy to have magazines on the table clearly showing what they are, like Boneshaker, but will turn round the Le Coq Sportif jerseys so you can't see them even though they are thanked in the credits. They also blurred out the Rollapaluza logo at the beginning then stopped blurring it.
They just had Dani King's Nike jumper clearly showing the nike logo about 10 minutes ago, and now it's blurred! Consistency people!

Maybe Nike paid.
But not enough.

^ Can I have your autograph?

The crew asked us repeatedly if we wanted to be in the 'audience' for the interviews yesterday.
To which we replied "We cannot - we are playing Taggy Cat, duh".
^ Cool story.

That Rapha courier pub roller game thing?
This thing:
Ooooooh, let's fill some time by showing some piss boring Rollerpaluza
The Cycle Show equivalent of the 'Omelette Challenge' on Saturday Kitchen!
WANK! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Condor managed a lot of exposure, wot wiff Jeff Banks claiming he wants to make a 'luxury' cycle range with them, but can't find the right 'manufacturer'. Hands up who thinks he's going to buy Rapha?
Either that or they just wiped some sweat from their beady brow. Plenty of us out here currently disposing our disposable on Rapha who remember The Clothes Show

^ Banks sounded serious about creating a proper women's range. I'd like to see that. Or was it purely camera talk?
I can't remember much about the content of The Clothes Show but I remember I loved it, especially Caryn Franklin's witchy hair, the weird catwalk clothes, the cool music (I was only about 9) and wanting to be their Bride of the Year one day.

Was the polo bit good? Did it come across positively? I am without tv or internet at the minute!
-
• #169
^ To a total ignoramus like me, yes I think it did. It looked fun, challenging but also accessible.
Getting much reading done then?
-
• #170
Oh good, they started filming with the line 'A sport which is not a real sport' and we had a bit of a discussion about how that came across...
Yes lots! Zzzzzzz.
-
• #171
Well they did say that, but then explained why.
-
• #172
That's alright then!

More importantly, have you changed your hair colour?

VB, watched the first two and half minutes of that first video you posted and was bored half to death by that time, too much stuff shot from stationary camera's and all that talking about what bike to take at the beginning and then no explanation during about why each bike was better for what he was doing.
have't watched much of the cycle show apart from a bit of a part back when it was 30mins, its alright, but not sure its going to tell me anything I don't already know, they don't seem to have much of a point of view, too much trying not to have an opinion, so as not to scare anyone off. I'd rather they held a view of something, which is what Top Gear does very well. Have a view and then confirm it, or be pleasantly surprised when something defies it.
Trying to be all things to all cyclists, something that is palpably impossible to do, so why try.
Tell stories about cycling, and try to explain why we love it, through different viewpoints, and every so often tell us something informative about gear/bikes/technology. Other than that go back to ITV and ask them for more money. Top Gear only started to look half decent after it did well ratings wise and they gave them money to spunk on the good bits the films about them taking cars and doing silly, impossible, extraordinary things with them...My tuppence worth anywhoo..

Errrr no, its still dark blonde I think...although if it was a sweaty bit it might look darker! Haha.
They blurred out NoTubes stuff whilst actually holding it up and talking about it and referring to it as the best puncture resistant thing you can get.
Of course, no mention what it is.
Was weird.
