I have to sell this fella it to clear space. It’s partway through a renovation so some of the parts look a little grufty – although it rides great.
Measurements are 54cm (centre-to-top) and top-tube of 56cm (centre of seatpost to centre of stem).
Weighs 12kg which isn't featherweight but it flies along nicely.
Recent updates since I bought it last year:
New drop bars and brake levers, plus chrome stem and nice bar tape.
Replacement (second hand) wheels – Campag Record hubs w/ Mavic rims to replace the old steel wheels
Chrome seat post and Condor Selle Royal saddle
Improved the gearing with 7 speeds on the back instead of 5, plus a new chain
New Panaracer tyres, barely worn
Reclaimed Sachs front and back derailleurs from a Raleigh milk race to replace the worn Simplex ones fitted originally
I bought it with old moustache bars, a different stem and Simplex gears that had seen better days. Also some steel wheels with wingnut hubs. I've got these if you want them too.
You may have heard of Cyril Guimard but there's barely any information about this brand of bikes which makes me think it could be a rarity. Quite nice lug work.
I'm looking for £250, to cover the original cost and replacement parts basically.
I’d like to see it go to a good home because I think it’s a beautiful bike and it rides really smoothly.
