For Sale: Holdsworth Mixte with Pearl Paint

So the long anticipated Mixte is up for sale. It has no faulty flaws except it has not been used in about 15 years and has two flat tyres. The chain is a bit rusty too. I'm based in Elephant and Castle and free to view after work.

I really am not sure about selling this so I'd really like £200 for this. Have a butchers at the pictures!

Given it's age, condition and the bits on it; you'd probably struggle to get £100....

understandable, where would all the spiders live?

Give it a damn good clean, lube cables and chain, put some new tubes and tyres on it and bump your price back up a bit. Just some friendly advice.

If I lived round the corner I'd come and get this all shiny and new for a decent coffee!.
Chrome: Aluminium foil and vinegar...comes up like new; toe clips...bin. all alloy stuff, cranks, calipers stem etc, 000 steel wool and WD40 then solvol autosol ( car shop ). lots of hot soapy water and turtle wax on the frame to finish. even the crappy centre pull cables would shine up with a scotchbrite pad and a bit of lube.
Rusty chain? oil and a rag, several times. Plus-gas if it's really tight, or a tenner for shiny new chain. :)

blimey that is clean. wish you did live round the corner! I'll bear this in mind although someone is interested and I'll see what happens first. I like this bike, but I am not a girl and I think one bike at a time is plenty.
