Magpies are fascinating creatures. There's a few that hang around our block, and they torment our cats. They imitate the calls of tits & finches, and are generally full of wit & mischief. I wouldn't say they were more or less wicked than cats, and are probably responsible for far less predation than our cuddly moggies.

I think Wolfie has some sort of pact with the magpies, I've caught him twice talking to them
Magpie: chatter chatter chatter chatter
Wolfie: Meow
Magie: chatter chatter chatter chatter
Wolfie: Meow

and so on, Wolfie was sat on the window sill next to the open bedroom window, whilst the magpie was perched on the telephone wire above.
MOC has told me he's caught the wolf doing this earlier but I didn't believe him.

Maybe they're feeding back aerial information on the movements of Evil Blue Cat in return for squirrels..

Maybe I have an over active imagination.
