Cheap places to eat out in London

Agreed - top thread this one, always on the lookout for good cheap nosh.

Also very much agreed on Tayyabs and Lahore.

My contribtions is Mangal Ocackbasi on Arcola Street, Dalston. Amazing Turkish charcoal grill, BYOB. Feast like kings for two is c.£30 (not including whatever booze you take). This place is all about the meat though - dunno how great the choice is for veggies.

How cheap?? The best I know in my area are:

Joy, indian on Broadway Market. This place is under-rated and dammed good!
Tre Viet, Vietnamese, Mare Street - Full sit down meal for less than a tenner a head. Unless you have wine.
Tayyabs - Whitechapel road - Brilliant Indian food, again, super cheap and super super good. Booking essential.
LaHore Indian / Kebab - Whitechapel Road - Boom good and super cheap.
