There's a joke to be made about leaning somewhere. But perhaps this isn't the place. Glad it wasn't more serious Ed.

That frame looks fuxored.
Glad you weren't hurt much.

Heal up, Ed. Hope coppers were helpful?

Wait... he did that on a cycle superhighway? Pulled in front of you and braked on the blue stuff?
Glad you're OK. That frame is ruined.

WAC - can you please show the rest of his number plate. Just in case.

Sorry to hear this Ed. Glad you're ok. That frame is a goner :(
This is the third time you've been knocked off in similar circumstances in a year or so isn't it? Hope your luck improves soon...

Steel frame, bit of heat, bit of brute ought to be ok.
Still let him pay! -

Yeah, is this what happened? Are Boris' 'superhighways' causing animosity between cyclists and other road users?

Glad you're ok... That "super" highway is a joke. Had a mini cab give me a load of verbal abuse there yesterday, just east of balham Waitrose.
Its where the blue strip is totally covered in parked cars all evening and weekend.

I was not on the blue stuff, I was maintaining a primary position due to the fast traffic on that particular stretch of road, it's the only place I take a strong stand on.
Police were good, they said it appear quite obvious the driver create the collision rather than I being in the wrong by hitting it from behind, they're also aware that I am in the right despite driver's protest that I was in the wrong and shouldn't have been on the road (i.e. not the blue stuff).
Not that it does matter but the driver is from Crawley, quite a way from London.

No, bad idea as investigation is ongoing, rather get the whole thing sorted by the book.

Very good reason why I don't often ride on them unless it's safe to do so (I'm still collecting them, the rain last month wasted most of them away but there'll always be fresh one every couple of weeks);

It's probably just the usual confusion about cycle 'facilities', that they're mandatory for people on bikes (as is the case in some Continental countries).

Someone must make a habit of standing there and shouting 'Do a Skid!'.

Exactly this, always on the CS highway.

Which part of Clapham Common Southside were you on?
-

Northbound section where there's two lane (and not many traffic), it's right after the windmill pub beyond the peds crossing.

Either this happened a month ago, or the date in the title needs altering to say August.
Heal up, Ed!

Must have been yesterday as I saw ed on Thursday and his bike was fine then.
Changed the thread title.

Good luck on the outcomes Ed.
Hope your not suffering too bad -

Be careful of this one Ed. Because you were not seriously injured the police will not put any resources into sorting this out. Do you have any witnesses? If you make a claim the driver could come back with a different story putting all the blame on you. I would get a solicitor to chase the police for details of statements and reports. Make sure you have written down everything you remember and detail all the minor bruises and scratches.
By your truly.
Aggressive driver didn't like I being on the primary position, swerving and the like suddenly braking while driving into my lane.
Hit his rear, damaged his light and the front end of my bicycle is fucked.
Police attended, ambulance came, everything's by the book, etc. etc.
received minor bruising and scratches for now.
