So I bought a Panasonic from Kingcutter in mostly NJS spec, it was a last minute decision due to selling my Argos to TheorySwine...
Looked like this to start with...
I didn't really have a plan of what to do with it, but I knew I wanted to try it out so when I got home grabbed the 2 nearest wheels and went out for a blast...
Now this was the beginning of the bad thoughts... I've been fairly skint due to all the nice bike part buying I've been doing, but had a few bits kicking about, so was struck by the thought of putting risers on it and having it as a fun bike to rag around town on...
Hey ho the NJSHHSpubBike was born.
After riding it a bit decided that the 5 gold was quite similar to perching on a plank of wood (although it was good in the drops) so have replaced that with a nice perforated Rolls I had, and a cheapish Campag seatpost (26.8) .. also decided on a slightly longer stem and black grips.
You also see the essential for any pub or town bike, especially a Yorkshire one, the Restraps.
Which leaves us here...
Short term plan is ODI longnecks to replace the Soyos for comfy glove free pub cruising.
The long term plan is to get the DA hubs built up with some nice 36h clinchers and return it to classy NJSish bike status, for the time being though I'm just going to enjoy it. Really is a load of fun.
