There's a seller on German Ebay at the moment who has the worst listings possible - including four 'lucky dips' which don't even have any photos, and just one-word descriptions.

This is odd, these listings all got cancelled, and then as I had asked him a question on the last listing, I got an email saying that 'for health reasons' he hadn't been able to write proper descriptions, so he's listed everything again. Using three different accounts...

this, by the way, is an eternal conflict. i think that posting stuff here actually hurts more than helps - because of millions of lurkers items suddenly stop being a bargain, and not necessarily "good people of LFGSS" will own it in the end

True, that was essentially our German friend's point, except he chose to express it differently.
On the flipside, I've got a couple of absolute bargains through this thread that I wouldn't have even found otherwise, and on things that you'd expect to have gone wild.
Also I'd rather a lurker on this thread bought something cool, joined the forum and showed us him building it up than having this thread not exist at all. And Ebay's hardly secret as it is, even without this thread I doubt it would be bargain central.
