  • The Guardian has plummeted in my estimation over a time span so short it's surprising.

Before the TdF I read it daily. But then the bias and skew became more obvious. And with the Olympics I read it even less, the articles were just crazy. Then I read the Pussy Riot stuff, this tattoo piece and a couple of others... and I'm left thinking that the Guardian may well be the left equivalent of the Daily Mail... presuming that it's better than it is, and putting out a relentless stream of bullshit.

I've fallen out of love with that paper. I can't read a damn thing on their site any more without seriously questioning why I'm doing so.

When occasionally I follow a link, I know I'm there just by reading the hyperbole and neuroticism.

Why is media so fucked? Is it really just because it panders to the last stronghold of old media purchasers, the middle classes who still get their paper delivered daily?

I'm going to put the Guardian in my hosts file and treat it the way I treat the Daily Mail... inaccessible from this computer.

^why I stopped reading papers in the 70s, I want to challenge my own biases not unwittingly absorb theirs...
