To all those craving Sun, I have just spent a week in Malta in the most glorious blue skies and blazing sun with temperatures every day exceeding 30deg C.
Now I am back where I live and cannot move from due to circumstances to long to explain here:
This is the bleakest, darkest, wettest valley in the whole of England leading me to contemplate riding a fixie off of a valley wall for an end to the gloom, doom and dark days.....For those wishing for Sun be assured that after five years of living here this is one of the darkest places I have lived and I love the sun,
Yours, already missing sunshine.....

Hello all, not new to the forum, but I'm new to London. Name's Matt, I'm a Mancunian expat, came down last week for summer work but I think I'll be sticking around so I thought I'd say hey in the main bit of the forum. Currently commuting across South, and spending my evenings and weekends exploring about. Riding a black KHS with blue velocity rear so holla if you see me!

Hello, my name's Nick and i like bikes.
I use the forums regularly for juicy nuggets of information but i've got a bike to flog, which is forcing me to decloak and write my first (second and third) posts.
Confrontationally, my current steed has gears... because Brixton Hill is an arse to get up without them. Hats off to those of you that do struggle up. :)

Hi All
Just joined as I have recently become interested on fixed gear bikes.
While researching on the bike best for me, I hope to gather enough information for my end goal, which is to get my bike when I'm in Japan!
Which would bring me to my first question if someone could help me with! If I was to buy my frame in Japan, are components available in the uk or would it be the case of having to get everything together in Japan?
Thank you in advanced. -

There's plenty of polo in and around Hackney, Robin. The NE Polo thread is here:

Have a look at the beginners' thread:

(Only Westway happening at the moment.)
There are also two tournaments coming up, one in Bethnal Green:

Howdie peeps..
Just a quick post to get one of my probationary three out of the way..
Was originally just going to flog a messenger bag (well attempt to..) but I may well hang around as I'm getting rather sentimental over my lame steed which is need of some work so I may need some advice in a bit for sourcing parts etc.. (it's a circa 89/90 Colnago master in a battered disguise but it's got a jammed seatpost and a bent fork.. so it's in the paddock resting currently).. Currently on a trek district, so still single speed at least..:P

Hi all, I'm here having a nose about after my beloved Peugeot got nicked in Paris, having just carried me all the way there from Hackney. Grumble grumble. I picked up something temporary from ebay, but frankly it's not giving me the thrills you want from a bike, so I thought I'd have a look on here for something a bit more beautiful...
Hello new members.. I'm a bit tired toady so can't afford any hugs.. Sorry..
